Interview with Jacque Fresco: The Venus Project

Jacque Fresco is a self-educated industrial designer and social engineer, author, lecturer, futurist, inventor, and the creator of The Venus Project. Fresco has worked as both designer and inventor in a wide range of fields spanning from biomedical innovations to totally integrated social systems. He believes his ideas would maximally benefit the greatest number of people and he states some of his ideas stem from his formative years during the Great Depression.

In the mid-1970s, he started The Venus Project and the non-profit organization Future by Design together with Roxanne Meadows, that reflects the culmination of Fresco’s life work. To this day he writes and lectures extensively on subjects ranging from the holistic design of sustainable cities, energy efficiency, natural resource management and advanced automation, focusing on the benefits it will bring to society.

Charlie has operated as a senior executive in both private and public companies across the world. He has built and operated companies across the Globe. His Humanitarian activities sees Charlie as the former executive director of The Mineseeker Foundation & Sole of Africa Campaign with the mission to eliminate land mines throughout Africa and empower its peoples.

Interview with Girish about Global Shift

Girish's life journey has been marked with a series of profound transformations, unified by an underlying journey towards purpose. He began his musical career as a jazz drummer, following his deep spiritual longing until it called him to retreat from the world. For five years he lived as a monk in a Hindu monastery. During that time he studied the art of playing the tablas intensively, and immersed himself in the traditions of yoga.

Now one of the most sought after session players in the world and sacred music scenes, he has collaborated on recordings with artists Krishna Das, Rasa, Dave Stringer, Wah!, Donna De Lory, Sada Sat Kaur, Snatam, Thomas Barquee, and the producer Michael Brook. With the release in early 2004 of his chant CD, Reveal, and now in late 2005 of his new CD, Shiva Machine, Girish's own finely nuanced compositions and vocal stylings have moved to the forefront, and he's not done yet!
